How to Increase Blog Traffic in 30 Minutes a Day

Blogging Tips

Having a blog can only be profitable if you are getting steady traffic to your website. And when starting out, it can feel like you need to spend all of your time promoting on social media just hoping that the right person sees your latest blog post and they share it with their audience, and you quickly become a success.

Or maybe you are struggling to get more than five views a day and spend hours on Facebook just interacting and hoping that someone asks a question that you can answer. And the next thing you know you have wasted another day and haven’t made a single sale all month.

It can be the toughest part of running a business, especially online. But there is a better way. You can work smarter. You can increase blog traffic in under 30 minutes a day and still see results.

How to Increase Blog Traffic with Facebook Groups

You are in dozens of groups, and you know that they often have posts where you can share your latest blog post or product to get a few extra clicks. These can be great. These are where I go to find valuable content share with my audience on a regular basis.

But they can quickly become a time suck because you start scrolling. You start reading and the next thing you know you have wasted half a day watching videos without promoting your latest blog post.

I have created a card in Trello card that lists each day of the week and a checklist with links to every group that has a promo thread for that day.

I can go through the card quickly and check in with each group. I scroll through the lists to find content to share, and within about 10 minutes I am done for the day.

Not only will this increase blog traffic for my site but it will build a community with others in my industry and we help each other grow.

After I have checked off everything for that day, I have an automation set that will mark the card as complete and move it to the next day.

Two Ways to Increase Blog Traffic with Pinterest

It’s no secret that for most bloggers Pinterest can be a huge portion of the traffic to their sites. For this reason, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and like you have to be constantly pinning your content all day long. There are a few ways that you minimize the amount of time you spend on Pinterest related tasks and yield better results.

Create Multiple Pinterest Images

One thing that will help you get better traction on your content is to have multiple images for Pinterest. You can test different layouts, different headlines, and different descriptions. You will never know which one could catch the attention of a Pinterest, power user. Having multiple images also gives you more content to add to your social scheduler.

Creating multiple images when scheduling your blog post will not add any extra efforts to your daily marketing strategy to increase blog traffic.

This is the tool I use to create all of my images in under 30 minutes.

Utilize Tailwind Tribes

Joining Tailwind Tribes is one thing that I put off for the longest because Tailwind does come at a price. It’s about $120 a year to utilize the features you will need. They do offer a free trial, that caps out at 100 pins.

Tailwind Tribes are a feature that helps you to connect with others that share similar content and create a sense of community similar to the promotion threads found in some Facebook groups.

I spend about 10 minutes a day going through the tribes I am a member of and scheduling content to share. I also add my new content every week to the tribes. So that other tribemates will share with their audiences.

Maximizing Instagram to Increase Blog Traffic

If you are active on Instagram, it makes sense to create graphics during the week that refer back to your latest blog post or product and schedule to share it with your audience. Similar to creating multiple images for Pinterest, designing Instagram graphics at the same time as creating your blog post will not add any extra time to your marketing tasks.

Instagram has made changes so Buffer and other Instagram schedulers will now automatically post for you. This is great news because it means that you don’t even need to have your phone handy when it is time to push an Instagram post live.

You also want to create graphics to use for your IG stories if that is part of your marketing strategy.

Tell Your Email Subscribers

How often are you emailing your list?

Telling your audience when you publish new blog posts is the easiest way to get them to come back to your blog post and even encourage them to share it with their audience.

If you regularly publish blog posts weekly, you should be emailing your audience once a week.

You could also create a few other ways to get into their inboxes, utilize an RSS feed to email for them to opt-in to, offer a PDF version of them to download to read later.

Any way you go about it, find a way to tell your email subscribers about your latest piece of content and encourage them to read it on your blog.

Share on your Facebook and Twitter Feeds

Both Facebook and Twitter should be scheduled when you create the blog post. One of my favorite tools for scheduling blog posts directly in the WordPress dashboard is CoSchedule. This tool helps me to stay on track with blog posts and walks me through setting up a schedule for the blog posts so that I am sharing it more than once without having to remember to go back to the post and share it.

Scheduling posts for Facebook and Twitter when creating the blog post won’t add any extra work during your daily marketing tasks.

Simplify your social media content calendar with CoSchedule. Give it a try for free.

Use CoSchedule’s ReQueue tool

Besides sending unique social blasts of your blog post, you can utilize the ReQueue tool within CoSchedule to set up regularly shares of your blog posts.

ReQueue works for you. It will fill gaps of your marketing calendar with your best social messages. ReQueued messages are added to your social media queue at the best time based on your previous engagement.

These are just some of the ways that you can drive consistent traffic to your website without spending hours a day on social media begging for a click or two.

So true about the need to work smart, rather than hard. Otherwise, one ends up burning out even before you get to see any money.
