6 Reasons To Only Publish Blog Posts Weekly

Blogging Tips

You have probably read all over the internet that to make money by blogging you need to publish blog posts daily or even multiple times a day. This is absolute bull. Seriously, do you know what is going to happen if you crank out content that quick? It is going to suck, Google will hate you, and your potential audience will be turned off by your quick little posts that offer next to zero value for their time.  You will quickly become exhausted and lose interest in your site, and most likely you will fail.

Here are the top reasons why you should only publish blog posts weekly, or less!

1

Better Content.

If you have more time to focus on your content creation, you will create better content. You will have more time to research and write. Most will appreciate a longer well-written blog post on a topic over a quick 300 words about something that offers next to no value. And not to mention, Google loves long posts. Better written posts are more likely to be shared and generate more traffic over the long haul. Your audience will grow to appreciate your work and come back for more every week.

2

Better Graphics.

You know how important putting together graphics for your blog post is. Now you have time to spend on creating stunning graphics custom for each social media platform you plan to post on. With less time spent rushing to put together short posts, you can spend the time you need on every post. You can create graphics that are eye-catching, align with your branding and will instantly let potential readers know that they are headed in the right direction by giving it a click.

Content Upgrades.

With more time you able to maximize each blog post and create content upgrades. Content upgrades are an excellent way to build your email list while providing additional value to your readers. Content upgrades are also an excellent way to establish authority on a subject. Your audience will take great value in what you are offering and most likely be excited to share it with their peers. Word of mouth promotion is one of the best things you can do for your business and by giving readers something that they can utilize and share will increase your return on investment significantly.

4

Premium Content.

If you are serious about making money from your blog, then you already know that you need to create a product of some sort. If you are posting less frequently, this frees up your time to work on creating paid products for your audience. If you have spent time growing your audience and their trust and loyalty with "free" content upgrades they will be more excited when you release a paid product that will give them, even more, value for their time and money. And this is what blogging is ultimately about, making money online.

5

Increased Engagement.

If you are spending less time creating content, you have more time to nurture a relationship with your audience. You can connect with them either through blog comments or on social media platforms. You will have time to create epic newsletters to send to them including exclusive content. The time you spend nurturing relationships with your audience will play right back into the free promotion they will do for and their eagerness to support you by purchasing your paid products.

6

No Burnout.

If you are working so hard at creating content daily, you will more likely suffer from burnout, and then you will be tempted to drop off the blogging planet for weeks or even months. This can be detrimental to your site. Your audience will crave consistency, and that is much easier to obtain if you are posting less frequently and scheduling posts out weeks or months in advance.

With less time spent on creating mediocre content, you will be able to achieve much more with your blog. You will see an increase in income and at the end of the day, that is why we all blog. With more time spent on creating content that matters, you will quickly surpass the old blogging rule that increased page views equals more revenue and learn that a targeted, loyal audience equals maximum revenue.

I would love for you to share what your plans for creating a new blogging schedule will be like and what you are going to accomplish in the "extra" time.

Founder of The Creative Boss

After years of trying to run an online business I have seen quite a few ups and a whole lot more downs. I spent hours every day researching how to make a go at some elusive, passive income. I felt like it was something that was just a myth, and then I figured out what the real meaning of passive income was: to work smarter, not harder. It’s not just sitting around watching the dollars pour into your bank account, but you can create products that will sell and still be sitting on the beach or at home in pajamas, and I want to share with you what worked for me. I don't want you to spend years trying, failing, and throwing in the towel.
